Buenos Aires

Private jet charter to Buenos Aires

In parts elegant and in parts edgy, Buenos Aires blends the style and grace of a European city with a soul that’s unmistakably Latin American. Many destinations around the world could be described as vibrant, but the Argentinian capital truly epitomises the word with its iconic architecture and fiery character. Contact our experts today to start planning your trip by private aircraft with Air Charter Service.

The city is made up of 48 eclectic neighbourhoods or barrios, each with its own identity. The bustling Microcentre is home to one of Buenos Aires’ most famous buildings, the Casa Rosada (Pink House), which sits on the eastern edge of the main Square, Plaza de Mayo. Home to the offices of the Argentinian president, it is from this landmark’s balconies that the country’s leaders address crowds in the square below.

In San Telmo, the city’s oldest barrio, wander cobbled streets lined with crumbling colonial architecture, dip into atmospheric antique shops and soak up the bohemian atmosphere in authentic restaurants and bars. On Sundays, thousands of locals and tourists flock to Plaza Dorrego and Calle Defensa to browse market stalls selling souvenirs, street food and antiques while listening to local musicians. San Telmo is considered by many to be the birthplace of the Argentine Tango and you can learn more about this sensual dance during an evening show – or head to one of the city’s many milongas (tango dance clubs) to learn some moves yourself.

Perhaps the most iconic image of Buenos Aires is of the colourful buildings along El Caminito in gritty La Boca – spend a morning here admiring the vibrant façades before visiting La Bombonera, the home stadium of the country’s most successful football club, Boca Juniors. Northeast of the Microcentre are exclusive enclaves including Recoleta, where grand mansions line upmarket streets and visitors can enjoy chic bars, award-winning restaurants and high-end boutiques. Pay your respects to the country’s most famous first lady, Eva Peron, at the tranquil and eerily beautiful Recoleta Cemetery, where narrow ‘streets’ are lined with extravagant tombs.

Possibly the least typical and most polished of Buenos Aires’ neighbourhoods is the regenerated Puerto Madero. This waterfront district was once a working port surrounded by wharfs, which today are lined with hotels, international restaurants and upscale flats.

It should go without saying that Buenos Aires is a favourite with foodies, particularly those with a taste for succulent steak washed down with a rich Malbec. The capital is bursting with traditional grills or parrillas, along with numerous international fine-dining restaurants. Buenos Aires accommodation comes in many shapes, sizes and styles. For opulent grande dames, head to Recoleta’s swanky Avenue Alvear, while Palermo is home to chic contemporary properties and San Telmo boasts art-deco hotels.

Argentina’s capital is served by a number of international airports, including Ezeiza International Airport and the smaller Aeroparque Jorge Newbery. Simply contact one of our team and we can arrange everything you need to charter a private jet to Buenos Aires.
