Private jet charter to Cardiff

Wales’ capital city dates all the way back to Roman times, when there was a fort based at the current sight of Cardiff Castle. These days, Cardiff is a thriving metropolis that’s rich in culture and is famous for its rugby and football teams. Charter a private jet to Cardiff.

Stroll around Cardiff Bay in the summer and have a glass of wine in one of the upmarket bars and eateries while looking out across the bay. Visit nearby Cardiff Bay Barrage – an award-winning civil engineering project that extends all the way from Cardiff Docks to Penarth in the south. In the evening head to the Wales Millennium Centre to watch a play or concert.

Cardiff’s rich history is still very apparent, with many impressive sites like Cardiff Castle to explore. Originally built in 1080 on the site of Roman ruins, the castle was renovated in a grand Victorian-Gothic style in the 1900s. Bute Park, formerly the castle grounds, has over 130 acres to explore with pretty Victorian gardens. Other historical sites include Caerphilly Castle and Castell Coch. To learn more about Wales’ history, visit National Museum Cardiff and St Fagan’s National Museum of History or get interactive at the Cardiff Story Museum.

Known as the city of arcades, some of Cardiff’s shopping venues date back to Victorian and Edwardian times – including Royal Arcade, which was built in 1863. In the Castle Quarter, you’ll find a selection of charming tearooms, boutique fashion stores and quirky shops selling antiques and vintage treasures. For upmarket shopping, head to Flannels, an independent boutique stocking a handpicked selection of designer fashion from labels including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Mulberry. Then head to The Hayes, a stylish shopping street featuring names like Vivienne Westwood and Radley.

Wine connoisseurs should take a daytrip to Llanerch Vineyard, 10 miles west of Cardiff, where the local Cariad wine is made. Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, here guests can go on a wine tasting tour, dine at the Cariad Restaurant overlooking the vineyard and explore over two acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. Restaurant James Sommerin in Penarth, 10 miles outside of the city, also comes highly recommended for its wine list. The Michelin-approved eatery serves elegant dishes using locally sourced produce and offers diners a fine view looking out over the Penarth Esplanade.

Twice named “European City of Sport”, Cardiff has hosted several major international sporting events. The city’s sporting venues include Principality Stadium, the national stadium for the Welsh Rugby Union; Sophia Gardens, home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club; and Cardiff City Stadium, home to Cardiff City Football Club.
