Arranging a last-minute aircraft charter to the Caribbean
One of our regular clients in Washington D.C. got in touch with a same-day charter request ahead of a Caribbean vacation. With an approaching snowstorm causing flight disruption in the northeast United States, a private charter was needed to get the group of 5 passengers there on schedule. We set about finding a solution fast.
Our Solution
Routes: Washington D.C. > Puerto Rico
Aircraft: Gulfstream G–IVSP
We confirmed a charter booking within two hours of the request coming in, reaching out to our operator contacts to source a suitable aircraft that could position immediately.
The group had originally planned to land in Anguilla, a British overseas territory, but it was impossible to secure approval at such short notice. Instead, we re-routed the charter to the unincorporated US territory of Puerto Rico, avoiding the need for permits.
Our experts kept a close eye on weather warnings and liaised with the operator to ensure everything ran smoothly, with the group touching down in Puerto Rico in good time.
The Finer Details
Extra Touches: We arranged for flight attendants to serve the client’s choice of wine and champagne during the flight.
